The LM4780 is a stereo audio amplifier capable oftypically delivering 60W per channel of continuousaverage output power into an 8Ω load with less than0.5% THD+N from 20Hz - 20kHz.The LM4780 is fully protected utilizing TexasInstruments' Self Peak Instantaneous Temperature(°Ke) (SPiKeTM) protection circuitry. SPiKe provides adynamically optimized Safe Operating Area (SOA).thecompletelySPiKeunder-againstLM4780'svoltage, overloads, shorts to the supplies or GND,runaway and instantaneous temperaturethermalpeaks. The advanced protection features oftheLM4780 places it in a class above discrete and hybridamplifiers.protectionoutputsover-voltage,safeguardsEach amplifier of the LM4780 has an independentsmooth transition fade-in/out mute.The LM4780 can easily be configured for bridge orparallel operation for 120W mono solutions. • Low External Component Count • Quiet Fade-In/Out Mute Mode • Wide Supply Range: 20V - 84V • Signal-to-Noise Ratio ≥ 97dB (ref. to PO = 1W)
