MIC4452BM-TR General Description
The MIC4451 and MIC4452 CMOS MOSFET driversare robust, efficient, and easy to use. The MIC4451 isan inverting driver, while the MIC4452 is anon-inverting driver. Both versions are capable of 12A (peak) output andcan drive the largest MOSFETs with an improved safeoperating margin. The MIC4451/52 accept any logicinput from 2.4V to VS without external speed-upcapacitors or resistor networks. Proprietary circuitsallow the input to swing negative by as much as 5Vwithout damaging the part. Additional circuits protectagainst damage from electrostatic discharge.MIC4451/52 drivers can replace three or more discretecomponents, reducing PCBarea requirements, simplifying product design, and reducing assemblycost.Modern Bipolar/CMOS/DMOS construction ensuresfreedom from latch-up. The rail-to-rail swing capabilityof CMOS/DMOS ensures adequate gate voltage to theMOSFET during power up/down sequencing. Becausethese devices are fabricated on a self-aligned process, they have very low crossover current, run cool, use littlepower, and are easy to drive.
MIC4452BM-TR Applications
• Switch Mode Power Supplies • Motor Controls • Pulse Transformer Driver • Class-D Switching Amplifier • Line Drivers • Driving MOSFET or IGBT Parallel Chip Modules • Local Power ON/OFF Switch • Pulse Generators
