The ADJD-S313-QR999 is a cost effective, CMOSdigital output RGB color sensor in miniaturesurface-mount package with a mere size of5x5x0.75mm. The IC comes with integrated RGBfilters, an analog-to-digital converter and a digitalcore for communication and sensitivity control. Theoutput allows direct interface to micro-controlleror other logic control for further signal processingwithout the need of any additional components.This device is designed to cater for wide dynamicrange of illumination level and is ideal forapplications like portable or mobile devices whichdemand higher integration, smaller size and lowpower consumption. Sensitivity controlisperformed by the serial interface and can beoptimized individually for the different colorchannel. The sensor can also be used in conjunctionwith a white LED for reflective color management.
