LTC4075HVXEDD#TRPBF DESCRIPTION
The LTC®4075HVX is a standalone linear charger that iscapable of charging a single-cell Li-Ion/Polymer batteryfrom both wall adapter and USB inputs. The charger candetect power at the inputs and automatically select theappropriate power source for charging. No external sense resistor or blocking diode is requiredfor charging due to the internal MOSFET architecture. TheLTC4075HVX features a maximum 22V rating for bothwall adapter and USB inputs although charging stops ifthe selected power source exceeds the overvoltage limit.Internal thermal feedback regulates the battery chargecurrent to maintain a constant die temperature during highpower operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The fl oat voltage is fi xed at 4.2V and the charge current isprogrammed with an external resistor. The LTC4075HVXterminates the charge cycle when the charge current dropsbelow the programmed termination threshold after thefi nal fl oat voltage is reached.Other features include automatic recharge, undervoltagelockout, charge status outputs, and “power present” statusoutputs to indicate the presence of wall adapter or USBpower. No trickle charge allows full current from the chargerwhen a load is connected directly to the battery.Charge Current vs Supply Voltage
